Iceland Part 4 - Vik, abandoned planes, and waterfalls (The southern end of the Island)

Towards the end of my Iceland adventure I went south. I'd read about incredible walls of falling water, abandoned military planes, canyons built for Fairies, and a hidden waterfall oasis. I wanted to see it all.

Caution: There is so much to see in Iceland you really don't have to plan too much- shouldn't plan too much- or you will be rushing around. Though I was grateful for the full day adventure to the south, and I did see a lot, it felt like a whirlwind when we were done.

It was no surprise to me that Game Of Thrones picked a few of these locations to film. They were simply beautiful. I can't poetically do it any more justice so I will leave you with the last few photos from my trip.

Iceland, you were incredible. I will be back  for sure.

Though I've seen a lot of the world, I'm a firm believer that "travel" doesn't have to be far to be fun.
